I love the plastic bag! I stopped selling street sandals because nobody makes nylon chord tires anymore, fiberglass or steel radials will cut up anything you kick, like a saw blade, including the inside of your other foot :) Maybe if the rug was allowed to stick out it would add some protection...? In Bolivia, they split the tires to skin the wires out, kind of a lot of work though, they tie the tire to a tree and pull the top tread back, splitting it off w/ a long knife, so the grinder isn't necessary.
