When a snake attacks a mouse or rat, everyone knows the outcome - the rodent dies.
But there are brave rats who know that this is the end for them and they try to take their enemy into the grave too.
That is what happened. The rat tricked the snake and made it follow it into a utility pole – the rat died but the snake was also electrocuted.

There is no electricity in this box, the snake just couldn't turn around to get out, and probably died of thirst. You can tell by the fact that there is no meter module plugged in above the breakers.
