You must not get out much. Try shopping in a non-American grocery store once in a while. A huge section of the world population does not have home refrigerators or refrigerated food markets hence the need for canned protein. Much of the world also can`t afford to farm the expensive and resource heavy meat like pork and beef (which are shockingly environmentally damaging). The canned beef is stewed cuts beef that most Americans won`t eat often canned in Canada or US and shipped to poorer countries. Many other sources protein like sea animals and insects are better for both you and the environment. You only think ``ick`` if you weren`t exposed to them as a hungry child. Just FYI the 2 HP cans you can`t identify are a traditional breakfast `Fry-Up`. They contain beans, bacon, a couple types of sausage and it looks like mushrooms. One type looks like it already has eggs in it but for the type that doesn`t you throw a whole can of that in a skillet with some eggs and chips (what you would call potato hash browns or home fries) and eat the whole un-Godly mess along with a couple piece of nutrition less white bread slathered in butter. That`s the proper way to prepare for the rest of the day and for your certain death from blocked arteries in your late 40s. Also I think the armadillo may be a joke as it clearly says it is road tenderised (porcupines and armadillos just curl up in a ball and stay on the road - tires win every time). They are tasty if you get the while they`re fresh.
Fish balls is made out of fish (Here it is most often haddock), and salt, milk, muscat and potato flour is added. it's served with a white sause, carrots and potatos. A very traditional dish here in Norway, probably elsewhere in scandinavia too. haddock hasn't got a exciting taste just boiled, so they probably found a way to use it that was a bit more tasteful.
i actually tried the krakus polish ham and it tastes much better than it looks, but to be honest i wouldnt try most of them, the whole chicken looks awful
