why the crap do you measure weight in stone? Sorry about my germanity but I don't know a measuring unit named stone.. it's like when people where in stone age.. how much is a stone? is is a stone I can pick up with my hand? or is it a stone the size of my house?
Stones are used in parts of England & a few other countries. You'll have to use a conversion thing online to figure out what 1 stone equals.. But I think it's about 10lbs, I could be wrong.
As a fat guy of 385 pounds myself, I know how hard it is to lose weight. I've lost lots of weight many times only to put it back on eventually. However, I agree his wife, or whoever keeps bringing him food to eat in bed, is helping him to stay that big. You can bet if I had to bring food to a family member in that position, he'd be eating healthy portions, period. If he doesn't like it he can get out of the bed and get his own food. By the way, a stone is 14 pounds. Not that hard to calculate.
