Hi! The first working days have passed very quickly. Today it’s Wednesday, which means that Friday is not far away :) The most important news of yesterday was, of course, the funeral of Michael Jackson which was turned into a show. First, the burial ceremony of the singer took place at the cemetery Forest Lawn and then was held a farewell concert with the participation of world stars in Staples Center. More than a million fans of the pop idol arrived in Los Angeles, but only the 20,000 persons who managed to buy tickets could see all this on live. For those who have not watched the ceremony on TV, I gathered some photos. Here’s a quick photo report from the scene. Click on the picture

A Russian newspaper published on a plastic bag. You can take things in it and read the new while you’re in the subway, for example. The newspaper is not complete, of course, but the idea is original. Clickable.
Jimmy went to a psychiatrist. “Doc,” he said, “I’ve got trouble. Every time I get into bed, I think there’s somebody under it. I’m going crazy!” “Just put yourself in my hands for one year,” said the shrink. “Come to me three times a week, and I’ll cure your fears.” How much do you charge?” “A hundred dollars per visit.” I’ll sleep on it,” said Jimmy. Six months later the doctor met Jimmy on the street. “Why didn’t you ever come to see me again?” asked the psychiatrist. “For a hundred bucks a visit? A bartender cured me for $10.” “Is that so! How?” “He told me to cut the legs off the bed! Ain’t nobody under there now!!!
I recently asked my friends' little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do? ' She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.' Her parents beamed. 'Wow...what a worthy goal.' I told her, 'But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that.. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and rake my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house. ' She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, ' Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50? I said, 'Welcome to the Republican Party.' Her parents still aren't speaking to me.
