Even back then people liked to do funny and WTF things while taking pictures, it’s almost unbelievable ;) If there was the Internet in those days, these pictures would become real hits and would spread throughout the global network in the wink of an eye )) Enjoy!
The first picture is actually promotional material for a 1932 film called Freaks. Koo Koo the Bird Girl (featured in another photo) was in that film. It's a seriously screwed up movie.
the picture of two women holding up a women who looks asleep is actually a picture taken right before the middle woman's funeral. Often families couldnt afford a photo of themselves during their lifetime so instead, a picture would be taken right after death. This made it so that families could have a picture to remember the person by and it saved them alot of money.

My parents had or have a book by Rudyard Kipling, which has a swastika on the front title page.
There was a hockey (?) team in Edmonton, Alberta that in 1917, was named the Swastikas. The symbol on their uniform was, naturally, a swastika.
