Love the new site, much easeir to read than the old one. Boston has really undergone a rapid transformation. It's amazing how a few years of success have made them forget the usual Boston mentality. Since when do two titles and one division championship warrant such celebration? For a team that wants to be mentioned in the same breath as the Yankees, you have to do better than that. Right now, they're just a blip on the map like so many before them. Until they extend dominance over multiple decades, they can't really compare.But, if they want the mantle, I am whole-heartedly in favor of giving it to them. It will make it all the sweeter when they revert to usual Boston loser form. They do need, however, to accept that if they want to be thought of as the best, then losing to the Rays, who are now getting shellacked by the Phillies, and who are a young team that was on the ropes after that improbable comeback and who beat Boston in a couple of very close games, should not be thought of as acceptable regardless of how many titles have been won in the past four years.
