The Dubai Metro is the first urban train network in the Arabian Peninsula. When completed, the Red and Green Lines will have 70 km (43 mi) of lines, and 47 stations. Still, the Roads and Transport Authority's master plan includes 320 km of metro lines up to 2020.

The maximum speed of the trains is about 90 km/h. Trains run every 5-7 minutes.

Because this metro is driverless, you can take pictures standing near the windshield in the first cabin (Gold Class cabin). Just keep in mind, that most trains have Gold Class cabins designed for people who are ready to pay twice the price of regular tickets, and women with children only.
