How can you move a huge electric generator that weighs in about 2 million pounds? It is destined for a clean coal power plant, and one company needed it to be moved from South Carolina to North Carolina without destroying the roads. The decision was found. This generator was loaded on a 300-feet-long trailer that had 36 rows of axles and 288 tires. And it was pulled and pushed by five heavy duty road tractors. This procession looked very unusual, by the way. But you can see it yourself after the jump.

Look up "Cargolifter", it was a very nice Zeppelin airship project for these exact kind of transports. The ship was supposed to be able to lift 160 tonnes. All was well, until the investors didn't see ROI fast enough and got cold feet. Now we have a big hall that has been converted into a tropical swimming pool, but no airhip project anymore. :-(
