no, people- leroy is exactly right. the japanese fishermen are ruthlessly and famously brutal towards dolphins, whales, and pretty-much all other sea life that is useful to them in any way. there is absolutely zero compassion or humanity shown towards such animals, and the fact that animal-lovers find fault with japan only irritates or sometimes enrages the japanese, nothing more.
OTOH pretty-much every country (including the USA) has dirty hands and skeletons in the closet.
and i do find these photos to be sad, shocking and even terrifying. the pictures really drive the message home.
