#6 Japanese to have a problem to say the L or the R regarding the fact that they speak a mixture of both. Nothing shocking about that. Reminds me off death note when the hero, "Raito", have been called that because of the word "Light".
For the others, different times, different thinking, but i'm happy the woman consideration has evolved
