You know, I'm not gay myself but I know a few gay families. I look at these pictures and all I see is happy people. Looking at the comments of my predecessors on this page, however, I'm presented with an even more vivid picture of haters who are more than willing to allow their petty and provincial prejudices to determine their view of the world. That's sad, very sad.

i'm sure there are plenty of disadvantages to being openly gay, but i bet those kids receive far more attention and love than the people did who are hating on them.

All of these kids HAD a mom at birth, they were given away and were adopted.
If those men were self centered, they wouldn't adopt a child and just go on ejoy life to their fullest - having a child is stressful.

You guys, don't be so mean. I'm curious. I just want to know what becomes of the kids when they grow up. How do they grow up without having a mother figure? Do they become gay, too?

The key element that I look at is that the kids are loved by both of their gay parents. So many bring up that a kid should have a mother figure. Did you consider that many kids are being raised in single parent homes that are struggling to make ends meet with a single parent income. Think of the kids that are victims of divorce or who have lost a parent due to death. Many of us have had similar lifes...and we survived. These kids will grow and prosper thanks to the love that both of the parents will be giving them. I think these kids are very lucky.

The children look happy and well cared for. It is good to love and be loved.

I can't believe some of the reactions on here! If a child was being looked after by a single dad people would say nothing but nice things, but having two dads apparently is wrong! Why?! They're not going to molest a child, or bring him up to be gay or harm him; it’s the same as a heterosexual partnership - a family based on love and respect. Homosexuality is something you don't become, its part of their personality and who they are, they can’t change it such the same as why some of you can’t help the fact you are fucking ignorant stupid cunts.

To people who say kids need a man and a woman to be grow, I say you just condemned all single-parent families and widows/widowers. To people who say it is not "natural" for gay people to have kids, I say you just condemned every sterile couple, who also can adopt or ask a "carrier-mom" (sorry, english's not my first language, I don't know the exact phrase) to help.
To those who say, very stupidely, that gay families children will all be gay (which is fine for me, but obviously some people are very alarmists about the population growth), I say that your sexual orientation doesn't come from your parents : how many gay people have straight parents ?
To those who say : these kids will be discriminated, I say you just condemned the dreams of every handicaped, black, latino and most female child.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I don't think the children are harmed by growing up with parents of the same sex. There are many children growing up with only one parent, no parents or parents who dosen't care. And gender of the parent can't have anything to say whether the child finds men or women attractive. Really.

This is great, but I can't believe all these hateful comments here. Apparently people don't realise that a lot of straight parents treat their kids like crap, or that a lot of parents raise their kids by themselves. A child really won't mind being raised by two men or two women, as long as they are loved and treated well and given opportunities. It's how you raise your children that's important, not if it's a straight couple or a married couple. And being raised by gay parents makes you gay in just as much as being raised by straight parents makes you gay. You are born with it, it doesn't appear out of nowhere.

All gay hate stems from religion. Come to think of it most hate stems from religion. How sad that people base their views on myths from thousands of years ago. So sad that they can't see that children brought up by gay people will be 100% more accepting of others and 100% happier, living thir lives to the full, when compared with those brought up by bigoted religious people who will spread hatred amongst us.

As long as the kids are loved and cared for, the gender of the parents does not matter. There are plenty of children belonging to heterosexual couples who are abused, neglected and unloved. Probably the kids of the haters who commented here.

I think if a gay couple decides to have children, they really made up their mind and really want to take that step - some hetero couples don´t. And have children without considering what that means. Children of gay couples might have their problems - perhaps in school with other kids - but they are really wanted by their parents.
