California teenager Matt Mina, who is 17 years old, was buried alive for 30 minutes when a six-foot tunnel that he was digging on Newport Beach collapsed on him. Rescue workers had to work feverishly to dig him out of the tunnel. He has since made a full recovery although at the time he thought he was going to die.

Man, this was my dream as a kid at the beach to do something like this, except without all the buried alive thing...
Also I was too lazy so all I did was arm tunnels, like tiny bridges of sand.
