Going back to the early 20th century Glass Beach, near Fort Bragg and now part of MacKerricher State Park, was used as a dumping ground for glass and other refuse. Decades later the beach is covered with gorgeous multi-colored glass, smoothed by the ocean.

lovely an the water swished them around till smooth looks actually safe to walk on. Go to a place I forgot what it is called in Detroit MI, the lake is so full of glass I cut my feet every time I went, but no more going there for me.
