Haggis forbidden?
The socalled "explanation" sounds like "We think it is immoral to eat this part of the animal".
Now that I think of it: I wouldn't be surprised if it was forbidden in the US to eat anything made from sex organs, such as reindeer penises (which rumours claim are sold in Japan at unbelievable prices as an aphrodisiac). The only problem with that is that frequently in the the world of fruits and mushrooms and vegetables, the part that we eat is exactly what corresponds to the sex organs in the animal world...

In Mexico we eat something like Haggis, its called Panza de Barbacoa de Borrego, made with chopped guts of sheep with some spices, very delicious.

People have conveniently forgotten that the birds that are used for foie gras, gorge themselves and it enlarges their livers. This happens naturally. If not, no one would have figured it out.
So the "force-feeding" isn't always a force feeding. There are instances where it occurs for mass-production, but it can still be found naturally.

Like so many other infographics, it is poorly researched. For instance Fugu, while it may only be prepared by licensed chefs, is not illegal in Japan. The liver is not banned, it is merely fatal if you eat any of it.
Durian is not illegal, it is merely not permitted in certain hotels and public transport.
Let's have a reference for haggis being banned in the USA. I call b.s.

Just to be clear people: Fugu liver has been illegal in Japan since the mid-eighties.
And as far as haggis goes- the US import of UK products containing sheep's lungs and windpipe has been banned, not haggis itself. But yeah, the truth is bent.

First of all, mangosteen is one of the most delicious fruits I ever had, second, both mangosteen and durian is sold all over northern Europe. Durian is a bit of an aquired taste (I love it)

They outlaw Haggis in the US because it's not right to use those parts.
But they still make bacon out of pig stomach. pork rinds out of it's fat.
and lets not even get into what goes into bologna and hot dogs....
I am 100% certain I would rather eat lung and throat before that nastiness.
