Mortal Kombat 9 came back to the first parts of the game and that's why gameplay is great :) You should compare MK1 to MK9, not to Soul Calibur. Also I prefer the first Dungeon Keeper :)
Classic is more oriented toward playing and enjoying the game while newer ones are more complicated, subtracting from the gaming activity. I mean, aren't you convinced it's a game, why does it have to be real life like?
