Taiwan, China, Japan and Korea have more colorful (and bright) cities with neon flashing colorful lights in every street.

I think commenter 4 may be onto something, no need to go from Asia to SanFrancisco just to see colorful, bright lights.

Do you butthurt babies come from SF?

No one is questioning his art, his style, his method. What's being criticized is being in love with a mediocre-looking city, thus his talent going to waste if he intends to go for brightly lit cities and/or worthwhile structures and rural architecture, yet focusing on that crummy place.

If he loves painting headlights' reflections on the wet pavement, he can do that with just about any other city in the world.
