50-Acre Tire Heap Spotted on Google Maps (6 pics)

A South Carolina man started collecting tires to sell to China, to the tune of 250k, and tossing them in one gigantic pile on his sprawling 50-acre property.

However, now that China is not so interested in all that rubber, he and the environment are stuck with way too many Goodyears and Michelins. Officials say a $400 littering fine is hardly enough to deal with the problem.

Wonder if his land is going to be contaminated and useless if he ever gets rid of them.

First off its not 50 acres. Second get your back story straight.
there was never any intention of selling them to anyone. The property owner actually lives out of state. The person responsible was collecting tires from tire shops and getting paid to dispose of them. Instead of properly disposing of them he was dumping them there

^^That sounds more like the case. Just a lazy ass scumbag littering and making a buck to do it. However, I hope they don't catch fire or we will alll suffer for his ignorance
