It's spiders like these that make me question my move from the north country.
99.5% of the time they leave well enough alone and stay out of peoples ways. Thus the name Recluse.
I remember when we moved into this new place. Every time I'd open a closet door or move something, I'd see 3-4. Now I see one a month tops. Thumbs up for pest control and vacuuming. [they dislike interruptions and will move on. The pest control kills the food, not the spider. They walk high and keep their abdomen off the ground at all times]
There's no treatment for a bite. Just antibiotics, pain killers and a possible dose of steroids depending on the reaction. Got bit on the leg by a small one and there was a hole about the size around as a pencil for 2-3 months and the skin was tender over it for 6-8. Serious reactions are rare and large scale necrotic reactions are rarer.
Ah well.. Enough rambling. Thumbs up to the girl for keeping that smile of hers. That's a heck of a reaction to have to go through.
