http://www.krakowtraveltours.com/de/news/227/28/The-Monument-of-dog-Dzok.html
I was living in Krakow that particular time and i do remember the whole story and also the dog, that was waiting on the roundabout for his master's return. Eventually after many years and people's help - Dzok found a new home (i should say - accepted, because he was still in grief) with some elderly lady, she loved him the most but unfortunately she was of poor health and died.
After her death Dzok vanished and was found dead on the railway track.

#2 You'll find many people assembling in front of Hachiko bronze statue at Shibuya station if you visit Tokyo.

I cried, too.

Dogs are so loyal and loving, yet so many are treated like expendable garbage...beaten, tortured, experimented on, starved, abandoned and/or thrown away.

All animals grieve. Never forget it.
