If you knew anything about history, you would have known that most medical progress is due to monks. Mind you, 4chan is not a source of historically accurate information.

While I do agree at the much progress was due to monks, you must also remember than many people became monks not because of religion but because of the free education in exchange of becoming a monk. The greatest example being Mendel
