He is an actor. He needs to stick to making shitty movies that women go to see and get wet over. He needs to keep his fucking nose out of politics and professional politicians should tell him to 'fuck off and die' when he requests an audience with them to discuss world events. They don't sit down with him and tell him how to make movies - stick to what you know.

Mr. Clooney is well versed on politics and has made Sudan his crusade. As all Americans, including you Mr. Ree, he is allowed to express his opinion and contrary to you, because of his clout, he is in a position to make a difference. You on the other hand use profane language and criticize a man who contributes far more constructively to our society. Clean up your act Mr. Ree.

I agree with you on some points. He can make a difference by donating his money to help those he feels needs helping, such as Bill Gates does. However, being a celeb, regardless of how popular, should not grant him an audience with one of the most powerful men in the world (the President, regardless of who holds the title at the time) simply because he wants to be heard. Most actors and others in the 'art industry' are flakes and have little common sense. As proof, how many of them ruin their lives with drugs, alcohol, etc., blow their fortunes and wind up almost poor, and/or make fools of themselves when they start talking publicly about things outside their industry.
If clooney wants to be in politics, follow the footsteps of Reagan, Arnold, Sonny Bono, and other actors and artists that run for local offices, prove themselves (or not) and move up the chain of political command.
