if that happened to me i'd probably disassemble it as much as i could before trying to dry it. it would dry quicker, require less air / heat, and you could be more secure that all parts were truly water-free.

Best way is to rinse it in pure alcohol. That will replace the water, and the alcohol wil dissolve completely.

pure alcohol won't magically replace water or any other liquid unless there's some chemical reaction at work, which you probably don't want to get in to in the first place on your valued laptop.
absolutely pure alcohol is also quite expensive to obtain without setting up a mini distillery. either way, that's a whole lot of time and money unnecessarily spent to replace the work of doing a smart and strategic drying job.
