And you'll never see trees like that again. Back then it was one tree one truck. Today you see over 20 trees (read sticks) per truck. Soft trees will mean your house will collapse before the mortgage is paid.

Uhhh, trees of that size still absolutely exist. You wont see them cut down for lumber, is that what you mean?

are a virus of this planet...expand and destroy the surrounding area...nothing will survive nothing will live anymore.

Kind of like how when trees arrived on the planet and by releasing oxygen, a poison at the time, killed off a crazy amount of life and completely changed the planet.

Goddamn those evil trees... they "were" like a virus. Funny tho, that life and the planet continued, albeit in a different state. The death of other plants and animals to sustain other plants and animals has been the way the world has worked since the dawn of time. Get over it.

Today's new homes are third and fourth generation replants. The lumber industry replants now after harvest. So no old growth trees will be harmed. That's why we use so many engineered beams that are made from smaller pieces glued together and can be made stronger than one solid piece from a larger tree. Also the chip board sheathing. It is what it is. Wood chips glued and pressed to together to make today's plywood. And it is stronger and more water resistant than the old plywood.

Don't confuse people with facts and logic--it will only make them compare you with Hitler.

Most of the building in my area is done with galvanized sheet metal shaped to look like a 2x4 rather than wood...more fire resistant.

Those WERE some very old trees
