I hate how some people think these are hero's or should be commended. I mean congrats on getting off the crystal but fuck you did that to yourself. Not like people are gona applaud others who run into a burning building just so they can get themselves out...
Well, he's a hero for showing his face. I guess he is not looking for our approval of what he's put himself through, but to give others in the same difficulties a hope.
I think he is trying to say: 1) don't make my mistake 2) if you did that already you can still find a way out.
