When these men met face to face for the first time in Serbia, it was not the meeting of enemies but one of friends. The men, former US pilot Dale Selko and former commander of the Yugoslav anti-aircraft rocket unit, Zoltan Dani, came into contact during the Kosovo War of 1999 when Zelko’s stealth fighter was shot down by Dani. The pair started a correspondence from this point onwards and finally met for the first time in Dani’s kitchen.
