The principle could probably work, but I'm not sure you'r be able to pack enough punch in that small format. I sure wouldn't want to depend on the batteries not running out to stay dry, and it doesn't even take less space than a conventional umbrella. But what the heck, as long as I can hook it up to my smartphone.....
