In one way this was very nice of her. But she is also putting her friend in a practical and emotional "friendship dept". This may cause bitter conflict in the future.

Well I don't see the selflessness in this. I mean she posted the pics online so everyone could see what she did and have that "aw, she gave her friend a car, she must be a truly awesome person" moment. Just wait until next semester when they have that falling out over that guy they met in lab class.

but we don't know from this who posted the pics, whether one of the girls, parents, friends, etc. i mean, did you really think this kind of thing wouldn't make it to social media somehow?
and as for debt-- who knows that maybe the first girl isn't paying BACK a debt by this act, no?
