Hmm. I have the feeling that these photos have been approved by NK officials. Most of the photos seem to be from the capital Pyongyang. You must be approved by the government to both visit and live there. They are selected for their loyalty to the regime. It's an elite society and a showcase to the rest of the world. Yeah, definitely photos from the party approved tour. One of my buddies teaches in china and decided to take a trip to NK. What he described sounded a lot like these photos. Everything was relativly modern and happy but he also said that it felt like it was staged, almost as if he was on a tour of a theme park or pioneer village type place. There was something just not quite convincing about it.
