Probably just a kids playroom or a music studio for a wannabe band. Flimsy drywall walls can easily be punched through so it wouldn't work as a dungeon.
There's no toilet facilities so it really wouldn't work well to hold captives in there.

Wrong, all the walls are made of plywood. You can clearly see the knots and grain in the wood. If it was an old house they probably had a retarded child they left in there.

i think it is just a failed DIY room... made but no one in the family likes it and leave it as it is bcoz too lazy to tear it apart...

Thats not Creepy, my brother´s room is really creepy with his fucking McDonalds trash everywere, dirty dishes and cups for months, even a damn scorpion appears beetwen the clothes...

That's a kiddy jail... Made by some mentally screwed up parents who thinks they're doing right by punishing their kids like this - in their mind it will deter the kids from doing anything to get them thrown in real jail later in their life. The reality is that if the kid DOES ever do anything to go to jail, they will find it strangely familiar and comforting - a sense of home.
There's no toilet facilities so it really wouldn't work well to hold captives in there.
