okay, now i understand why they made it like that-- it's to create a natural filtration system as an alt to chemical-treated water.

but i do think that making the swimming portion a perfect rectangle looks ridiculous. i mean, if you're going for the pond look, why not make it look like a real pond? (i.e., oval or such) anyway, adding more water plants would help break up that ugly outline.
