How did he get that job? Simple: Affirmative Action. If MSNBC would have said something like: Mr. Sharpton, as much as we respect you and your policies, we've decided to go with another candidate. Thank you for your time."

And, even if though that candidate could read, speak clearly and not alienate every viewer that watched him/her, if that candidate was white, DAT'S RACISM!!

The flaw in the ¨logic¨ that ree is using, is that ree is assuming that Sharpton applied for the job. I'm speculating that MSNBC wanted him and nobody else for the job. They wanted him for who he is, not because he happens to be black.

dang8521, don't forget he is also socialist which is MSNBC's bias. In fact, it may be more because he's a devout socialist than because he's black.... but probably both. Welcome to the New Democracy.
