I know that when a tragedy (or potential tragedy) happens, it's always best to document what happened with photos rather than get the child safely out of harms way. I'm glad these people subscribe to the same principle...

What ree is actually saying is that the person driving the car knew a piece of rebar was going to fly through the windsheild, through the seat and narrowly miss the child in the back seat and instead of moving the child they deciced it would be better to let the child in the back seat and then take pictures after the fact. God, ree is so smart.

This metal rod flew through the window, impaling the front seat and reaching into the back seat. Fortunately it missed the person sitting in the front of the car as well as the child in the back who was luckily lying down.
