With wild boar, he was lucky to get away without getting gored. If it was a female with piglets, he probably would have been. Thats why you hunt boar very carefully and with a trained dog when possible. That dog will save your life. I can promise you that from personal experience.
In an odd twist this animal gets the upper hand on the hunter that was trying to kill it.
