Crowds of people mobbed the beaches in the Ostional Wildlife Refuge, in northwestern Guanacaste to take photos with sea turtles who were trying to lay their eggs on the beach. The olive ridley sea turtles are listed as an endangered species and this interruption in their natural nesting process is very harmful to the species.
