A Royal Caribbean cruise ship 'The Anthem of the Seas' was heading to the Bahamas from New Jersey on a 7 day cruise. But the ship was caught in a storm and was hit with 30 foot waves (9 meters).
Hurricane-force winds reached 150mph (240 kmh) caused huge swells, which sent the ship teetering through the night at angles of 45 degrees. So, the travelers had also spent hours on lockdown in their cabins. It caused damages to the structure of the ship as well as to the furniture. From 4,5000 passengers, only four received minor injuries. But the people were frightened and angry because the ship sailed into a storm predicted days earlier. The company promised a full refund and even 50% off their next cruise.
