Have you ever thought about what happens to all those plastic, paper or foam cups you use in different fast foods? Well, some of the restaurants like Chick-Fil-A recycle them to make beautiful benches. That's what they call a responsible recycling. Check out the process.
When you throw your old cup away into a recycling container located in the restaurant, it’s collected with other cups to embark on a great new adventure.
The cups are emptied, sorted, and cleaned.
Then they’re gathered in groups of 50 where they enter a machine that will compact them until they’re as small as one cup.
The blocks of material that used to be cups are then taken to a plastic recycling facility where the real magic happens.
Piece by piece, what begins to be assembled are park benches made from recycled materials, including, our beloved Chick-fil-A cups.
