Elephants use their ears to regulate body temperature
Due to their immense size, elephants produce a lot of body heat. Thankfully, much of it radiates out through veins in their large floppy ears. An elephant can lose as much as 48 degrees Fahrenheit (9 degrees Celsius) through its massive ears.

#8 48F does not equal 9C, it's more like 27C (when you're talking about absolute temperature, NOT from zero)

#32 -- I think some scientists need to recheck their math... There are 24 hours in a day, each 60 minutes long, so there are 1440 minutes in a day. If the average session is 17 minutes long, than a lioness would be able to mate 84 times in a day and have 12 minutes leftover to eat, sleep, etc.
