It is all wrong about Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. When they met he was married and they both felt it was wrong to start a relationship. He had to divorce first and he did. They did nine movies together because Paul was very demanded while Joanne who gave birth has lost directors' interest so he put her participation in the movie as a prerequisite for his own participation.
It was a long, hot summer in 1957 when Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman started dating on the set of "The Long, Hot Summer."
They married in 1958 and were together until Newman died in 2008. The couple also starred in nine more movies together and raised three daughters.
