Jimmy and Billie Breland got married in 1954. They were together 60 years and when Billie got sick in 2015, Jimmy took care of her and was by her side until the end.
Sadly, Billie passed away the same year. She was 83.
Two days after her death, her husband found of her notes in her checkbook. That’s was Billie’s thing, she took notes and left them around the house for her to remind her of things. Jimmy thought he found one of those notes. But this one was addressed to him.
This is what it read:
“Please don’t cry because I died!Smile because I lived!Know that I’m in a happy place!Know that we will meet again!I will see you there!”
A simple note that left Jimmy’s heart at peace in the wake of his wife’s passing.
