One of the original survival horror games, "Resident Evil" has spawned more than 20 sequels and remakes, and even a series of feature-length films starring Mila Jovovich. But it's the games themselves, which revolve around the evil Umbrella Corporation and its release of the T-virus that turns everyone into zombies and grotesque creatures, that makes it one of the best franchises and Capcom's biggest, with more than 61 million games sold as of this year. The next game in the franchise, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," will release on January 24, 2017.
