Which US states are farthest north, south, east, and west?
South – Hawaii, North – Alaska, West – Alaska, East – Alaska. And no, that’s not a typo. The Aleutian Islands cross into the eastern hemisphere (the dateline even had to be bent to keep all of the US on one side). This also means that some parts Russia are closer to New York City than some parts of Alaska.

#2 north and south holland are countries in the netherlands. In dutch they're called "provincies' which translates to......
anyway: the netherlands has more that just those 2: there's Groningen, Friesland, Overijssel, Drente, Gelderland, Utrecht, Noord Brabant, Zeeland, Limburg, and North and South Holland. (did I miss one?)
