George Barris paid $1 for the 1955 Lincoln Futura concept. In 1966, the producer of the “Batman” series, Adam West, told Mr. Barris that if he could get the car back to its original Batmobile look then he’d pay him $15,000. Fast forward to 2013 when the Batmobile 1 was auctioned off for $4.62 million.
