First thing on the to-do list was to develop a template for the helmet.
Then a transfer of the template to cardboard.
From cardboard, the template was used on a shape mat for better dexterity.
A heat gun help with the shape of the helmet.
After a few heat treats.
Adding the fin and extra details with additional foam.
A coat of plasti-dip spray sealed all the pores and made it easier for the gold paint to stick.
Warm gold spray paint to complete the look, with smoked plastic cut for lenses.
On the the rocket pack.
Two large PVC pipes with baby holes cut in them were used as rockets. The holes were used for LED lights.
A slurpee cup lid for the top and a V* Juice bottle used for the bottom.
Primed and ready for final color touch ups.
Top of the rockets painted gold like the helmet.
A string of LED lights were glued inside to light up the pack.
A scope bottle was utilized to connect rockets.
It’s not 100% accurate to the movie rocketpack, but still gets an A in my book.
The lighting looks legit.
The blue glow completed the outfit.
