This railway connects Rameshwaram Island to the mainland of Southern India (Chennai). Vying for UNESCO’s world heritage status, the 103-year-old bridge has very low-lying cantilevers and a length of 2,065 meters. While moving on the bridge, one won’t be able to see anything but water on either side of the train. It feels like the train is whizzing across the sea.
