How many dogs can live in a dog favela? Well, according to the photos in this post about 1600 (and some 200 cats). This one in the city of Caxias do Sul in Brazil is very humane and takes dogs in off the street to care for them. It is underfunded but they do the best they can and the dogs seem happy.
A pangolin is a very cute mammal which resembles a little an armadillo and can roll up into a ball as well. They have large keratin scales covering their skin and are the only mammals with this adaptation.
The name "pangolin" derives from the Malay word pengguling which means "something that rolls up".
Aren’t they cute?
We once had a video with a fish with a human face, which is freaky enough.
And these are fishes which have human-like expressions on their faces. For the most part, they are funny but some of them are really disturbing…
As can be seen in these photos, it seems everywhere you look in this town there are bears. These bears seem to be naturally inquisitive and are usually in to everything. It would appear that these bears have managed to stay out of trouble.. so far.
Some dogs get to go to the store or on a walk with their owners. At least that is what they are probably thinking when they leave home. However, the dog in these photos was in for the surprise of his life. We don’t think he liked it very much either, but, he is a military dog and it is his job whether he likes it or not.
Like humans, cats celebrate their birthdays in many ways! So let’s see in pictures how these kitty birthdays happen…
A 100-pound bear cub was shot with a tranquilliser dart by authorities in California after it got stuck in a tree while searching for food.
I can’t blame them, they just instinctively know what is good :P
Check out the pictures, they are really cute and fun :)
And by ‘it’ I mean love making, of course ;)
How do snakes make love? Have you ever thought about it?
Well, here’s the answer in pictures :)
Have you ever seen two animals being in love? I have. But they were animals of the same species. This case is special and unique. 3-year-old giraffe Bea and ostrich Wilma are always together. They live in Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay. And it seems to me that they don’t need anybody else to be happy.
I thought I knew a lot about different species of fish; however Anglerfishes are probably the most unusual creatures I have read about. This story is written and drawn in a funny way; however all the facts are true and very curious. Believe me, this is something you should know ;)

Great, funny and inspiring ads with dogs. I love them!
It’s sad so many chickens were killed to create this photo chain, but thanks to it you can learn more about chicken evolution from the very beginning. Remember, it’s the oldie of the day ;)
Here’s the little riddle of the day: can you say what this is?
This cat is so warmed by the sun that it doesn’t pay any attention to others. It is the laziest cat I have ever seen!
You surely don't wanna miss this!
This cat’s name is Scarlett. Since 1996, brave and courageous animals, who’ve done heroic acts to help humans or other animals are given the Scarlett Award for Animal Heroism, in Scarlett's honor.
And here’s her story.
Scarlett, was a feral cat living in Brooklyn, New York. On March 29, 1996, an abandoned Brooklyn garage in was on fire. Firefighters arrived on the scene fairly quickly, and during the fire one of the firemen - David Giannelli - noticed a cat, who repeatedly returned to the burning garage, pulling out one by one her kittens. The cat had already the burnt paws, ears, and face, her eyes were wet from the fire and she was chocking on smoke, but only after she pulled out from the fire the last of her babies and counted them by touching them with her nose to make sure that all of them were here, she lost consciousness.
More about Scarlett inside the post.
Penguins are such neat little animals. They look so formal in the little tuxedo like outfits. They are also very friendly to humans. As some of the close up photos in this post shows, they are also beautiful.
The Spectacled Bear (the Andean Bear) is the last remaining “short-faced” bear in the world. Its cubs are really adorable. You can see the Andean bear babies that were born in the National Zoo in January taking their first real outside walk in the end of April. Aren’t they cuties?

Enjoy this interesting compilation of transparent creatures that look simply amazing on these photos.
Goats love to pose for the camera. They seem to enjoy showing off their tongues, laughing and making hilarious faces!
Doggies shown here are probably loved by their owners. But they look so pitiful and hilarious, I can’t stop laughing :)
This cute baby fox got stuck in a watering can. Luckily, there were people around to rescue it.
WTF is this???
The answer is inside the post.
This guy was born lucky to survive such an unexpected chase by an elephant. Gigantic feet and huge tusks were after him, but the man managed to escape! It’s just unbelievable!
This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! It’s nothing like little kittens or newly born puppies. I find hedgehog babies much cuter. Take a look at these sweet little ones born at Hamor Hollow, a USDA-licensed breeder.
All these parrots are very unusual. They participated in the Bird Sports Meeting in China showing their personal best in weightlifting, skating, rolling, acrobatics and other sports.
There have been lots of protests and riots in Athens, Greece lately. There has also been one dog that has been consistently spotted at these riots for the past two years. It is the same dog in each photo and it makes one wonder why it continues to take part in the riots. It could be that its owner is one of the demonstrators but no one knows for sure.
After the little kitten hidden in a police car bumper, this time it is a baby seal that was stuck under a police car in Ocean Beach, California. He got out from the ocean, crawled for 50-60 yards on the grass area and got on the road. The police car that was passing by, stopped in the middle of the road so that any car couldn’t run the baby seal over. When the police car stopped, the animal got under it and had a nap for almost 4 hours.
Then the ‘Sea World Marine Animal Rescue’ team was called, they took out the baby seal and took him into the Sea World for 4-6 weeks until he gains a normal weight and force. Then they will free him into the wild.
Another “animal” happy ending :)))
I think that animals change this world for better. Their emotions always make my heart melt! They do such hilarious “faces” that I start smiling, laughing and getting many other positive emotions myself.
