The city of Ordos was built to accommodate over a million people and supposed to be a futuristic metropolis of Inner Mongolia. However, due to incompletion, the city is almost empty. Apparently, just 2% of the city’s buildings were ever filled, the rest has been left to decay. Today, Ordos is China’s largest Ghost City.
Jackie Chan received an honorary Oscar in Los Angeles. His “Rush Hour” co-star Chris Tucker and Tom Hanks paid tribute to him. Chan said, "It's a dream." Chan said that he first held an Oscar when he visited Sylvester Stallone's house 23 years ago.
"I touched it, kissed it, smelt it," Chan said. "I believe my fingerprints are still on it. Then I told myself; 'I really want one'." Congrats Jackie, kudos to you!
A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth. The most recent supermoon was seen yesterday on November 14, 2016, which was the closest to Earth since January 26, 1948. The next one like this will not occur until November 25, 2034.
27-uear-old Cassandra De Pecol from Connecticut is to become the first documented woman who is also the youngest American and the fastest traveler to visit all 196 countries in the world. She has already visited 181 countries since July 2015. She only needs to visit 15 more countries in the next 40 days to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest person to travel to all Sovereign Nations. Her “travel Odyssey” is called Expedition 196 and she’s traveling as an Ambassador for Peace. Kudos to you Cassie and stay safe!
