The Jumping Frog Jubilee is an essential part of the annual fair in Calaveras County, California. Its history dates back to 1928 when the first contest was held, based on the story theme from Mark Twain’s novel “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Cavaleras County”. Nowadays, the contesting teams come from all over the state to engage into a funny competition of making the frog jump as far as possible, usually by shouting at it.

You think there is nothing, however it is right in front of you.

Remember the post of yesterday about Jenny, a girl who quitted her job in a creative, original and daring way?
Well, as some of you mentioned it in the comments, it was nothing but another Internet hoax.
As entertaining as it was, nothing was true, the girl is just a Californian actress (at least, that's what she says..) named Elyse Porterfield.
I’ll let you discover more pics of her and her explanations in the following…

An unusual gathering of cosplayers was noticed at Craig Regional Park in Fullerton (California). You will see hot girls, bright costumes and funny characters after the jump.

If you ever hiked across the slopes of California’s Sierra Nevada in summer, you have surely noticed that the snow here, at altitudes of 10,000 to 12,000 feet, is very unique. For hundreds of years scientists from all over the world couldn’t solve the mystery of “watermelon snow”.
The first accounts of watermelon snow are in the writings of Aristotle. Would you like to know why the snow is pink? The answer is right after the jump.

After the little kitten hidden in a police car bumper, this time it is a baby seal that was stuck under a police car in Ocean Beach, California. He got out from the ocean, crawled for 50-60 yards on the grass area and got on the road. The police car that was passing by, stopped in the middle of the road so that any car couldn’t run the baby seal over. When the police car stopped, the animal got under it and had a nap for almost 4 hours.
Then the ‘Sea World Marine Animal Rescue’ team was called, they took out the baby seal and took him into the Sea World for 4-6 weeks until he gains a normal weight and force. Then they will free him into the wild.
Another “animal” happy ending :)))
