Maurice Tillet was born in France and was very intelligent and spoke 14 languages. In his twenties, he developed acromegaly, a rare disease that causes bones to grow wildly and uncontrollably. Soon his whole body was disfigured as a result. Afterwards, he fled France, became a professional wrestler in the United States, and won American Wrestling Association World title. Tillet was dubbed as the "freak ogre of the ring." There are rumors that the Shrek character was inspired by Tillet’s look. Who knows but he really does have a lot in common with the character.  I’m not fond of caviar and even less of snails, so it’s obviously not destined to me, but I’m sure there will be lots of amateurs, if they can buy it… 50 grams retails for $115. The French Laundry is an American restaurant located in Yountville, California, in the Napa Valley. It is the fourth restaurant in the world for incredibly high prices, and (as claimed by specialists) quality. In general, a simple meal in this restaurant will cost you around a thousand dollars. But at least we can be sure that there are no genetically modified products. The dishes are served in very small portions, to emphasize that their cuisine is "a work of art" and not just food. Billout's aesthetic style is clean and spare, sometimes incorporating some ironic element. His work has been featured in Atlantic Monthly magazine and in several books, including a collection of Greek mythology.
