This map looks as if it had been drawn by a child. Still it illustrates European wars from the BC era to the 20th century in a funny way.

Manshiet Nasser is a strange community in Cairo, Egypt. People call this place The City of Garbage because tons of trash come here from all over the capital of Egypt. The most unusual thing about this place is that people actually live here. Another strange thing about Manshiet Nasser is that local residents, the Zabbaleen, including women and kids dig through the garbage looking for something to resell. About 80 per cent of this trash is recycled and resold later on.

Cairo is not the only city on earth where such a model of Manshiet Nasser exists. It is already copied by communities in Los Angeles, Bombay and Manila.

This plane had some technical problems and the pilots couldn’t land it properly. But they found a solution to this problem.

In childhood many of us dream to live in a fairy tale house. The photos in this post are of some wonderfully real wall art. People actually painted this beautiful art on the walls of existing buildings. It took some real artistic talent to make paintings this large look this good.

Tsingy is the Madagascar stone forest that attracts many birds and lemurs. This place is fantastic. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990.

Hamburgers and French fries are probably the most permanent food you can find on earth. It’s proved by New York photographer Sally Davies who has held a unique project of taking photos of the same hamburger and French fries every day for 137 days. Even after 4.5 months this food looks almost the same as on the very first day of the project. It’s unbelievable and so weird!

Different countries use different methods to tear down a house. People in China probably use the most extraordinary and surprising method of house demolition.

Robert Kiraly heard a loud noise in his courtyard at night. When he got outside, he found a 200 pound black bear with his head stuck in a milk barrel. It turned out the bear decided to find something to eat and squeezed his head in a milk can that was on the porch. When he felt that his head got stuck, he started yelling wildly trying to escape.
